That was interesting.. haven't spoken to you for a while. You seem to be improving, thats good. Only suggestion I have is equalize it better, and work on the distortion a bit. Its too crazy for any other advice.. lol.

Lots of cool wooshing synths lol. I think you needed a funky bass and bassline to go along with it tho. I think the synths were overdone a bit, I had a hard time picking up the melody/rythme. Nice work seperating the stereo field/panning everything, it made it considerably phat. Next time just lay off the sound effects synths a little more and try and make a more distinct melody. 5/5 10/10

Author's Response:

Funky bass, there's an idea! I know what you mean, I kind of like throwing everything into a kind of swirling whirlpool, but point taken, a distinctive melody IS really important!
Thanks for the input :)

Im not familiar with the song cus I kinda stopped watching the show, but I can see this being in it. A little bit repetitive and could of had slightly better mastering... but an enjoyable listen nontheless. Change your synths up a bit next time, or put filters on them or something. Other then quality and diversity, top marks.

"cool"

date: November 4, 2006

Didn't sound very technoey to me, but it was cool. Creepy intro and some cool synths. I think you played with the panning a bit too much tho. Lots of instruments were only on my left ear and vice versa. Nice piano, sounds like its real although you probably could of had a more distinct beat. 5/5 and 8/10 from me. Good job

Author's Response:

thanks...i didnt try to make the panning happen though.

Well I'd like to start by apologizing... you didn't deserve what I did to you. I'll five up all your songs and never zero vote again. Im clean now and hope we can maybe get along on this portal but I understand if you still hate me. So again.. im sorry =[

on with the review...
I like it because ive been looping it the whole time I typed this up... too lazy to find the beginning and end, but its diverse and relaxing. Equalization could of been a little better and I don't think the kick you used fit in some places.. but by far the most pretty, relaxing piece of audio ive heard all week. Thanks for making this, it relieved some of my stress. Alot of 5's and 10/10

"mm chocolate"

date: October 21, 2006

This song reminded me of chocolate for some reason... im craving an 'oh henry' =/ I liked this song, it was perfect in every way accept the equalization on the arp. As well as the ocean FX... too cheesy in my opinion. A good version of a classic song nontheless. You might wanna try putting a little more of your own flare in your remixes tho, make em your own. Good work on this

"pretty good"

date: October 21, 2006

You should learn to make your own synths... I could hear too many presets. It was quote diverse and interesting to listen to and it would fit perfectly for a flash. I think those were voice clips from an RTS.. probably command and conquer lol. You needed a better beat I think, but good use of sound effects. Full marks for this one, go check out my song when you get the chance.

Author's Response:

i made my own voices and made them lower...

and i used pre set synths but mixed them up a bit...

so there really isn't any copying here....

"appreciate Psy bitches"

date: September 23, 2006

Any goa and/or psy trance instantly gets a 5 and 10 from me, regardless if it's been done before. Nice psy track, tho this isn't very dark compared to most. You needed some filters in there too, it was a little too bland. Also your acid needs a more distinct, evolving pattern, more often. Good job on it tho, it still pwns. Go check out my goa whenever I'm not too lazy to submit it.

Author's Response:

Hehehe
Thanks for being on the right side of Trance!

Filters okay, see my headset is quite nontreblish but this track is not more treblish than other songs I listen to...
Also, the acid... Well this is kind of beta, there are no automations but 1 single amplitude automation for the disted drums. It'll be better.

'nyway, thanks for reviewing! I'll be sure to check some of your stuff.
Stay tuned
